Terms and conditions of sale

Registration and booking :

To take part in one of our activities, you must book in advance, subject to availability. Registrations can be made by e-mail to odyssee-canyon@orange.fr or by telephone on +33(0)630.682.762.
Payment can be made either by bank transfer before the service, or on site by cheque or cash. We do not accept credit cards or vacation vouchers. By registering, you acknowledge that you have read and accept the General Terms and Conditions of Sale.

If you are the subscriber of a group of several people, you must undertake to inform each participant of the content of the activities, undertake to register the group on the activity corresponding to the least athletic and least reckless person, and undertake to inform them of the conditions of participation and the general conditions of sale.

Our prices include supervision by a qualified professional and the loan of equipment (neoprene wetsuit, helmet, harness and mountain gear…). Shoes are not included in the price. Shoes must be fastened with tennis laces. We do not accept Aquashoes.. However, you can reserve a pair of canyoning shoes in advance by adding an extra 10€ to the price of your canyoning or aquatic outing. The price does not include your transport to the departure point, food, drinks, personal pharmacy and any medication you may need if you have a medical condition. You must declare this at the time of booking and inform the guide before setting off.

The services are provided by a certified professional independent contractor. meeting all the legal obligations associated with its business. Only the self-employed person is responsible for the service, in accordance with the prerogatives associated with his or her sports teaching diploma.

Our activities are open to all, but depending on the activity and route, certain conditions must be taken into account: age, height and weight limits, ability to swim, technical or physical level, familiarity with heights for abseiling…

The qualified supervising professional has all the power to refuse a person that does not fit into the required prerequisites for each activity, and neither he nor Odyssée canyon can be held responsible for any problem arising from failure to comply with these prerequisites or from non-disclosure of information.

It is also imperative that each participant is in good health and fit on the day of the activity. On the other hand, each participant must be attentive and follow the instructions given by the professional throughout the activity.

You need to know how to swim and not be afraid to put your head under water.

You must not have any medical contraindications to the chosen activity.
If you have no medical contraindications, but you are care-dependent or special medical treatment, or your health condition requires special attention (back pain, joint problems, etc.) or you have a special medical condition. physical or mental problemit is imperative that you report during your booking before registration and in inform the monitor before starting work.

The activities we propose take place in an unsafe natural environment: rivers, canyons, cliffs, mountains, etc. You must therefore be aware of the risks inherent in these activities.

Appointment times and delays :

An appointment time is systematically communicated whatever the service. For the smooth running of the activities and out of respect for the other participants and the instructor, we do not tolerate any delays. After this period, the supervising professional leaves and no reimbursement or compensation is due.

Cancellation :

The qualified professional in charge of the activity reserves the right to cancel an activity for safety reasons (weather, flooding…) or for any other case of force majeure. In such cases, a replacement activity will be organized where possible, or you will be offered an alternative date. If the outing cannot take place, the service will be reimbursed in full, without entitlement to any further compensation. Only the qualified professional in charge is authorized to cancel an activity in the event of bad weather.

Odyssée canyon reserves the right to cancel an outing if the minimum number of 4 participants is not reached.

Reimbursement :

No refunds will be made once theactivity has begun (the activity starts from the moment the guide welcomes you and hands over the equipment required for the outing). This is in the event that you stop the activity on your own, or because the guide invites you to stop, judging that your level of physical fitness is not suited to the activity.

When you subscribe and book an activity, particularly for a group, you undertake to respect the number of people registered at the time of booking. If one or more people are absent from the meeting, you will be asked to pay the price of the number of people registered at the time of booking, unless you have cancelled the day before with Odyssée canyon.

Insurance :

The instructor is covered by professional liability insurance. However, this insurance does not replace the participant ‘s individual civil liability for damage he or she may cause to himself or herself or to third parties, or which may result from an external natural phenomenon.

The participant is informed that he/she is responsible for taking out personal liability insurance to cover the practice of mountain sports, including search, rescue and repatriation assistance.

Audiovisual property and image rights :

By participating in one of our activities, you expressly agree, without restriction, that your image to be used for promotional and advertising material on all our “paper” media and our modern communication and telecommunication tools (Videos, Photos, Website, Social Networks), unless you request otherwise in writing by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt and photo for identification purposes.
In accordance with the French Data Protection Act no. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, you have the right to access, rectify or delete any information concerning you.

DISPUTES – CONSUMER MEDIATION

In the event of a dispute between the Customer and the company, the latter will endeavor to resolve it amicably (the Customer will send a written complaint to the professional or, where applicable, to the professional’s Customer Relations Department).
In the absence of an amicable agreement, or in the absence of a response from the Professional within a reasonable period of one (1) month, the consumer Customer within the meaning of article L.133-4 of the French Consumer Code may, if a disagreement remains, refer the matter free of charge to the competent mediator registered on the list of mediators drawn up by the Commission d’évaluation et de contrôle de la médiation de la consommation in application of article L.615-1 of the French Consumer Code, namely :
