The Montmin canyon<\/strong> descent is located above the village of V\u00e9sonne on the Montmin road towards the Col de la Forclaz. This canyon is also located in Haute-Savoie, near Lake Annecy and 30 minutes from Albertville.<\/p>\n

The discovery version<\/strong> of the Montmin canyon is also a ‘lighter’<\/strong> canyoning trip than the sporty version. In fact, it represents only one of the two halves of the very challenging Montmin canyon. In other words, you descend either the ‘high’ part<\/strong> (1st part) or the ‘low’ part<\/strong> (2nd part). These two sections are also fun and varied canyoning descents. They both include compulsory abseils of around ten metres and optional jumps and slides. The choice of guide depends on a number of criteria, including water level, the sporting ability of the group and whether the car park is busy or saturated. Both are open to adults and children aged 12<\/strong> and over who are sporty and have a taste for adventure.<\/p>\n

For the “high”<\/strong> section, take a path from the car park, which takes just 10 minutes to descend to the river.
For the “lower”<\/strong> section, walk up the road to the start of a path that leads down to the torrent. This takes around 30 minutes.<\/p>\n

The “high” part<\/strong> of the Montmin discovery canyon is fun and highly varied. It consists of a walk interspersed with compulsory abseils of around ten metres and optional jumps and slides. There are also short passages in caves and the passage of a siphon by snorkelling, which are not compulsory. These add to the fun of this part of the canyon. You’ll also discover lush greenery and beautiful limestone formations. It really is a wonderful way to discover the river. It’s a great way to discover canyoning, and we recommend it as a first introduction to the sport, as well as during periods of heavy rainfall.<\/p>\n

But as a general rule, the workshops here are more technical than in the ‘upper’<\/strong> part of the canyon. For the more adventurous, there’s an optional cave passage for an extra challenge. This ‘lower’<\/strong> part of the Montmin Discovery canyon is also narrower than the ‘upper’<\/strong> part. Nevertheless, it remains accessible to novice sports enthusiasts in an atmosphere of adventure and discovery.<\/p>\n

The ‘lower’ section<\/strong> is more technical than the ‘upper’ section<\/strong>, making it a great canyoning adventure in a wild and verdant environment.<\/p>\n
