We’re offering you a very challenging<\/strong> half-day canyoning trip to the Montmin canyon<\/strong>. This canyon is located near Lake Annecy in Haute-Savoie. This descent is very challenging, as it links the “high”<\/strong> and “low”<\/strong> parts of the Montmin canyon. The Montmin canyon is very challenging, but also fun and varied, with a succession of compulsory abseils of around ten metres, interspersed with jumps and optional slides.<\/p>\n

The Montmin canyon<\/strong> descent is located above the village of V\u00e9sonne on the Montmin road towards the Col de la Forclaz. This canyon is also located in Haute-Savoie, near Lake Annecy and 30 minutes from Albertville. The descent of the very challenging Montmin canyon involves linking the “high” and “low” parts<\/strong> of the canyon. It’s a 3h to 3h30 trip. The descent is then very challenging, fun and varied. There’s a succession of obligatory abseils interspersed with jumps and optional slides. So it’s a sustained canyoning descent. As a result, it’s open to adults and children aged 14 and over in very good physical condition.<\/p>\n

We start with a short approach walk<\/strong>. However, we can access the canyon via two different paths. The first is steep and has fixed ropes to help you descend to the torrent. The other, much more accessible, is further upstream and adds another 15 to 20 minutes of river walking.<\/p>\n

Then comes the ‘high’ part<\/strong>, with the first canyoning section offering plenty of variety. There are compulsory abseils of less than ten metres and optional jumps and slides. It is also interspersed with river walks through lush greenery and beautiful limestone formations, including a passage under an arch. Small options such as passing through a hole or snorkelling through a siphon add to the fun of this section of the torrent.<\/p>\n

This second canyoning section<\/strong> begins when we reach a superb waterfall of around thirty metres on the left bank. We then move on to the ‘lower’ part<\/strong> of the Montmin canyon. Here too, there is a series of compulsory abseils of around ten metres, interspersed with jumps and optional slides. An optional cave section offers the more adventurous an extra challenge. However, this second half of the canyon is narrower and more technical than the first. Nevertheless, it remains accessible to novice sports enthusiasts in an atmosphere of adventure and discovery.<\/p>\n

All in all, the combination of the ‘high’ and ‘low’ parts<\/strong> of the Montmin canyon makes this a very challenging outing. This is not so much because of its technical aspect but because Montmin is a mountain stream with rather cool water. So, even if you’re well equipped by Odyssey Canyon, it’s important not to be too slow so as not to find yourself ‘chilled’ halfway down. The speed of the descent of the very sporty Montmin canyon is an essential factor in its appreciation, directly linked to the cold. Because when you’re cold, you don’t enjoy it. That’s why we only take children aged 14<\/strong> and over on this very sporty course. If you’re feeling the cold, opt for the Montmin canyon discovery<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, which is only half the length of the route.<\/p>\n

In conclusion<\/strong>, the descent of the very challenging Montmin canyon<\/strong> is one of the most beautiful sequences on offer. In fact, it’s a canyoning route in a wild, green environment. You’ll also come across a variety of fun obstacle-clearing techniques. What’s more, it’s a more fluid and less vertiginous canyon than the Angon canyon very challenging<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n
